Hi Chaps,

I'm currently running a Stage 1 map which pushes out 370BHP.

Since getting the map I've been keeping an eye on the oil temperatures and during journeys the temperatures is sitting between 95-100 depending if I put my foot down to overtake that slow Karen who is doing 35 in a 60 zone on the B-road. I believe these temps are fine but would it benefit installing an aftermarket oil cooler?

I wont be doing any track days etc so trying to weigh up pros and cons of it.

Has anyone got one installed. How difficult is it to do it DIY?

Where is yours mounted?

Brand recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

Personally I wouldn't bother. The tuned S3 is so quick its unlikely you'll be able to abuse it enough on the road in real world conditions for it to be a problem (without being dangerous or getting nicked).
Perhaps, if you were going to track the car then maybe but personally I wouldn't do that either, its just asking for trouble with a turbo car. The number of tuned turbo cars that overheat and melt something on track days isnt funny. Normally aspirated all the way for track cars, not highly tuned forced induction which were never really designed to cope with the excessive heat as a result of tuning.
