Air Con compressor replacement 2004 A4 B6 1.9TDi (130)

Hi,

I'm sure there is a thread on this but I cant seem to find one.

The Air Con compressor on my 2004 A4 B6 1.9TDi (130) needs replacing but with Audi quoting me £760 for the part alone i'm looking at a much cheaper solution if I can given the age and miles on the car.

I've come across loads of parts much cheaper but this one from - as much as I hate to say - from EuroCarParts has caught my eye as i can pick it up today online for £200 http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/A...b0f484d2e8064a23db8c295e90f6108445ee47&000077

the part number is: 8E0260805BJ

I'm wondering if anyone on here would know if it is any good and would be the correct part as a direct replacement?

Any help or advices would be appreciated, thanks in advance

I got a used Denso AC Compressor on eBay for £50 about 3 years ago, & it's still going strong.

I to have replaced mine with a second hand unit off eblag for £95, works fine.

I’m in the same situation. I checked mine and as you can see it’s been replaced already in its lifetime by a non OE part I imagine. I’m struggling to get info from this label as to the correct part or part number I need to be looking for as I’m happy to buy a second hand OE part if I can find the correct part for mine which is the same 2004 A4 PD130 AVF

I have a 2004 A4 PD130 AVF as well and the part number on mine is 8E0260805BA. I believe it is the same compressor as 8E0260805BJ but I haven't a clue as to why they have different last letters.

As long as the physicalities are the same as the one you're replacing (bolt holes, pulley ribs, plug type etc) you should be fine.
