Hi, I've recently bought a 2013 Audi A3 s line. I have noticed that when i press the ac button a little red led comes on but as soon as I take my finger off it goes out. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like maybe the switch is broken to me?!
The red LED should stay lit up whilst the AC is on or at least it does on my 2008 S3. If you've got an owners manual with your car then it might be worth double checking in there to see what it says about using the AC.
I still think it should stay on though.

Could be that the low pressure switch isn't working due to low refrigerant fill -> compressor won't engage.
The first port of call would be to scan the HVAC module check for codes and applicable live data.
