Had a fault on the HVAC for a while now, so thought i ought to address it.

VCDS is saying

00716 - air recirculation flap positioning motor, blocked or no voltage.

Thought i might as well just replace the faulty unit but im unsure of the actual location of this particular flap motor. So say its under the dash, others say its behind the plenum chamber.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Is that the one that has the recirc flap stuck open or closed ?

If stuck open don't worry about it .

Im not sure tbh, everything seems to work as it should i think? Im just on a roll with sorting out niggling faults so wanted to attend to it really

There are three units up behind the glovebox that I think control the HVAC.

They're black and Each one has a different colour arm, unsure which is which.

Mind you, must be something in the air as haven't checked VCDS but noticed my windscreen vents aren't getting air so I'm in for something similar myself

Yes I've seen those 3, one has a green arm the other blue and i think red?

Im assuming each control vent, 1 for the screen, 1 for the dash vents and the other for the footwell.

Surely the recirculation flap would be on the way into the HVAC system, which is what leads me to think its the one behind the plenum chamber.

Maybe there's 4.

There's a yellow one too from memory
