I was working outside on the house yesterday. My car was in the garage with the garage door shut. I then hear a car alarm going, sounds like from next door. It stops for a second then starts again, and keeps repeating that. Muttering under my breath about idiots leaving their window open, I figure I'd better check just in case someone is actually trying to break into next door's car. As I get in front of my garage though I realise the noise is coming from there and it's my car that's annoying everyone!
Unlocking it stops the alarm, and after locking it again it was fine, so what on earth has triggered that? I did have my car keys in my pocket as I was climbing up and down ladders, but as far as I know there is no combination of button presses that actually triggers the alarm (it's a UK car).
Any ideas?
