I did everything by the book and yet it doesn't start at all, sometimes it does, but very rarely and the engine sounds rough.

I fulled the filter with fuel prior to installment so I'm unsure of where the error was.

How do I bleed the system properly? - I don't have any suction vacs so it's a litle hard. Any ideas?

Thanks.

I managed to do it, it seems my whole problem with starting is that the intake pipe on the turbo has come off. The previous owners had use primitive tape to keep it connected and through the knocks, pushes and bangs of changing the fuel filter, I must've knocked it off; which is turn stopped the car from starting and/or prevented it from revving to clear our the air bubbles.

Many thanks for the help.

put a new turbo and refurbished diesel pump into a audi a6 allroad quattro 2.5tdi v6 c5 2003, it cranks but wont start but sometimes is starts then fails again.
anybody have ideas on what the problem could be?
