I Have a 2001 Audi Allroad which seems to be suffering transmission problems. When i start the engine the PRNDS Lights up solid red on the dash board and the foot brake light next to the select lever is not illuminated. The car also only drives in 1 gear which is either 3rd or 4th.
Does this mean that the dreaded ECU has failed inside the box, if so which is the most cost effective way to repair so i can get rid of this car, i have only owned it for 3 months it thats all it does is break down.
