Just bought a 08 plate 2.t tfsi (200bhp) 2wd cab s-line special edition 45k miles in black (6sp manual)


Pick it up on Sat (private sale), any advice would be great am thinking of a cam belt change
and service for peace of mind ?
What else would you do?

few questions have seen conflicting info on searches is mine deffo a b8 version?
Also what's the 0-60/62 on these as I can't even find it on google !?

yes b7 as they never made a B8 cab only the A5 cab

if belts aint been done them yes with the year i would have them done also have the waterpump done at the same time

make sure you keep the oil changes upto date
these can have sludge problems and block the oil strainer and boom

if its on the long life services (every 20 K) then change to 10K on that engine i change oil every 5/6 k miles.

Nice looking car! Get yourself a Smarttop module (not kufatec) for remote roof open/close and one-touch operation from the centre console button, it makes owning a cab so much more enjoyable!

Fit it yourself, really no need to have it done 'professionally', just pop the rear side panel off (driver's side), tap the power connection & plug the module into the roof controller and you're done.

Hint: Leave the USB lead under the rear seat bench in case you want to change the settings at a later date.

I got mine from PPC performance parts: SmartTop Roof Remote Control Module STLFAI1 (99922022250) | PPCGB

Also worth noting that MODS4CARS - YOUR SPECIALIST IN SmartTOP HIGH-END ELECTRONICS FOR CONVERTIBLE TOP AND REMOTE CONTROLS are quite good with correspondence if you have any issues.

Smarrtop does both in one module, then Kufatec needs two separate modules and is slightly more limited in it's functions, also more difficult to fit.

Just get the smarttop...
