Another 'stop engine, check coolant level thread'

Hi all

Been awhile since I last posted.

Like other's, we got the stop engine, check coolant level message this morning. Car is approximately 14 months old with 13,000 miles. Found the level in the expansion tank to be very low but not yet empty.

Car is booked into the dealer for tomorrow and I'll feedback later.

Several people have had similar; more power in numbers to get this issue recognised and addressed eg the TPI on checking S3 hoses.

OP: Why not add your car/experience to the already existing threads in the FAQ - that way it will be easier for future searches and to keep track of how many people this is affecting.

I'm not quite at the "check coolant level" but after 310 miles It had lost approx 1/4 of the volume between Min and Max on my S3 that was yesterday now its nearer 460 miles ill see whats happened to it tomorrow.... if it goes near minimum at 1000 miles ill be taking it to the dealer now I appreciate as a performance car that yes you may burn some oil and fluids but not at that rate!!
