Anyone gone from B8 S4 to B9 272 Diesel?

Looking for opinions and comparisons please. Had a B8 S4 and in the market for an estate now. The B9 272 diesel looks attractive but others have said the steering and handling was vague and mushy. Thanks in advance.

My mate has just picked up a 3.0 TDi 272 A4 Avant and the performance of it is so impressive plenty of power but still returns near on 50mpg on a run. The tiptronic box is very smooth as well.
