Hey,

Something is making a 'droneing' slight rumbling noise toward the rear of the car when i hit about 25mph plus. It increases in volume as i increase speed, am leaning towards bearing as the sound completey goes away when i go through a right hand bend.

Which wheel should i be looking at if it disappears on right hand turns?? rear behind driver or rear behind passenger.

Going into audi tomorrow for a diagnosis check, if i can point them in the right direction it will speed things up.

Thanks for any advice.

Sounds like a bearing, take it to any vag mechanic tho wouldnt bother with audi unless you like spending money - its impossible to guess which one has gone if it is a bearing really.

Sound like a wheel bearing to me. I changed one on my other car and a week later the other one went. Jack it up and spin the wheel no need to take it to Audi.

Hey,

Tyres are brand new. will jack it up and have a spin! anyone know of any vag specialists in the west midlands??? near solihull if poss.

Thanks
