Anyone put 21 inch wheels on their S3?

Jon Watts ( boss of VAGtech) is running 20" BBS CH-R wheels with 245/30 x20 tyres and a fancy suspension ( Bilstein B16 PSS10 ) . Full details are in an article in AudiDriver for December.
Personally I think 21 " is a step too far, especially on most roads in the UK !

After seeing the silver one on 21s i personally think they look silly. Some may even say 20s are too big.

21s are just silly. Tyres that fit are a nightmare to find, it'll sit higher than a range rover and drive like Fred Flintstones car.

20s are the max for saloon, 19s for HB or SB.

Here's a few saloons on 20s. No need for anything bigger surely??

i understand that people like wheels from other manufacturers and i've nothing against doing whatever you like to your car but why leave the centre caps. If you're prepared to pay the money for the wheels in the first place surely some machined caps aren't too big a step.

As always, just my opinion.

If I'm shopping for replicas, I'm going to put an Audi badge cap on it.

But I can see why someone would put the manufactures badge on it, if they aren't even going for an Audi-centric designed wheel.

I am looking to go up to either 20 inch rims or even 21 if this is possible (looking at the tyres required i am not sure the width would fit. Has anyone succeeded with 21s and if so what tyre size worked.

Succeeded in doing what? Ruining a great car? I hope not!

It wouldn’t be my cup of tea, but at the same time these 20” alloys don’t look out of place. Not sure on the wheels in the middle pic.
