Afternoon all,

I'm embarking on looking for a new car, I've come from a 3.0TDI A4 B8 which I realised was too small the moment I bought it 4 years ago.
From looking at whats available it appears a 3.0TDI C7.5 is about in my price range. I notice these have a decent power hike over the pre face lift and also sport a dual clutch gearbox.

Is there anything to look out for? are the gearboxes strong? The tiptronic was always the bulletproof one in the A4.
Is it worth considering the allroad? Are there any, must have, spec items?

Thanks

the s-tronic in my 3+ years of running it has no issues, just make sure it's been serviced every 40k if applicable

i've owned 2 x 2.0TDI and haven't had any major issues, had a steering wheel horn fail, and a boot latch

in terms of spec, that's upto preference - both of mine have been black editions which are well spec'ed and my current car has the tech pack, which is nice, but i wouldn't say it's essential, i went for black editions because i hate cleaning chrome and i wanted the bose stereo
