Anyway to tell if my car is remapped?

Hi all.

I have recently bought a 2006 Red A3 2.0Tfsi special edition,

Seems to be a cracker so far, well looked after, seems to have had a couple of nice modifications too.

Someone has gone to the expense of fitting and EVOMS V-flow intake kit, And I just wondered if it had maybe been remapped, as a Civic Type R won't even look at it.

My father has VCDS and I was curious if there was a way to tell on this if it has had a remap before, as it's certainly something I will be looking at doing once I have a de-cat sorted out and some decent suspension.

You could try logging actual Boost , RPM and MAF readings. Then post the result up here.
Do a third gear acceleration run 1500- red line.

People in the know should be able to tell you whether it's mapped or not.

You can get a good ball park figure of the power from the MAF readings.

Id say you wouldn't get much change from 20k for a 2nd hand one.

Forget the rolling road idea, you can't afford it, we'll plug it in and see what's what.
(It did feel pretty quick though).
