I just got into a bit of a debate with one of my dad's old friends. He was more or less saying it's a complete waste that I own a b8 A4 S-line because I "only do 6k miles a year" and having a nice car doesn't justify that mileage. I asked him how much mileage he does a year to which he replied 3k, fair enough he drives a vw up. Now my opinion is if you can afford a nice car then why not have one. Now this guy is absolutely MINTED with money but has always been renowned for being the world's biggest tight ****. I tried it from a different angle by saying why have a Mcdonalds when you can have a nice bar lunch with a cold pint but he still couldn't see my point. My car is a 1.8TFSI too so it's not if I'm running around in a diesel. I wish these tight ***** morons would keep their opinions to themselves!!

Ignore him. In my opinion fair play to anyone with a nice car. People moan and comment about people in high end cars but I just love seeing them on the road. Fair play to anyone.

I don't talk to my brother, long story regarding him being threatening and abusive to our mum. What I do know is when he sees, when it's delivered, we have a new Audi it will eat away at him. Due to my volunteer work with young people even a caution would see that come to an end. Whilst most would of lumped him one I've told him verbally what I think of him and his wife and he stays well clear. But this will really get him and I'm loving it.

Yeah I did think maybe it was a bit of jealousy and if it wasn't I just wish people like him would keep their opinions to themselves. I may only do 6k miles a year but I would rather do that 6k miles in a nice car. This is my second Audi and I'm 99.9% sure that my next car will also be an Audi

My thoughts exactly. What's the point of dying a rich man. Money is there to be spent and enjoyed, you work hard for it so get the enjoyment out of it. I love Audi's and always wanted one from the day I passed my driving test but couldn't afford one. I slugged it out for a few years with a few bangers such as a 1.1 punto, ford escort and an astra. Then my dream finally came true about 3 and a half years ago when I finally managed to afford an 06 plate A3. I felt like I had won the lottery lol. That was the first car I had that was worth servicing every year with oem parts and fitting good quality tyres on to. I got my A4 just over a year ago and I absolutely love it. I treat it better than I treat myself to be honest lol. I take a lot of pride in it to be honest and not just because it's a nice car but mainly because I dreamed about it for years and worked my **** off to get it

Just enjoy it mate, forget what anyone says! My parents are always telling me off for having so many cars, but I tell them, I don't drink or smoke, so I blow my money on cars, or would they prefer I take up smoking as a hobby?

Good luck to you jojo my first car was a brand new one. My parents didn't help me, heck neither even drove. I got a load of crap from people, but I earn every penny. While their old heaps were breaking down I had carefree motoring.

Lol yeah to be fair this guy could buy a brand new RS6 if he wanted. I don't know what it is with him though, I've honestly never met anyone as tight as this guy in my life. He prefers to look at his money instead of spending it. He's so tight he always goes round to his brothers house to make his phone calls because his brother gets free calls between 6am - 6pm lol. He also came into my work once to see if we had any envelopes as he needed to send a letter and didn't want to buy a pack of envelopes. He also asked if we had any stamps lol

I only do about 5k a year and have a Citigo to run about in...

I hardly use the Audis anymore, they just sit there doing nothing, they aren't worth the hassle driving about every day (IMO)
