Audi 80 Cab Power roof NOT Lowering, Electic aerial fully extended- not lowering

I have a 1993 cabrio , power roof will not lower.




The electric aerial is fully extended and will not lower ,


will this prevent the roof from lowering ?


here is what happens so far


1) engine running


2) turn "T" bar to unlock roof


3) all 4 windows lower


4) lift the switch to lower the roof and ROOF LIGHT FLASHES IN DASHBOARD - and that's it




(checked all fuses , and hydraulic fluid in boot for roof - all ok)

have same problem myself at this moment! changed boot micro switch and checked the right hand side loom, all ok there1 now where do i go!!!!!

im having exact same problem, my boot wont unlock which is causing my roof not to work (not 100% sure the boot is causing it but ive been told it could be) it worked perfectly until it was stood for a month now it has this fault. any help would be great as I haven't got a clue. thanks lee.
