Audi A2. What to look for?

I'm usually hanging out on the A4 B6 forum, but I've been asked to find a car for a family friend, & have found what on the face of it looks a pretty decent car locally. (2001 1.4 petrol SE)
So any guide lines for buying a 10yr old A2 1.4 petrol?

HI pauldazzle I'm a bit late but stating the obvious water pump timing belt change , service history is a good indicator of a looked after car also a lot of high mileage but don't let that put you of as they are a good age also cluch on high mile cars ,oil leeks worn tyres ect all going to cost so be prepared to negotiate
