Just wondering how much roughly and what would need done to get a completey standard 2010 audia3 sportback 2.0 tfsi to around 260bhp mark

I know a stage one remap is required which one and how much approx
new exhaust system which one and how much?
induction kit again how much which one?

Im just wondering rough costs and what needs done to achieve around the 250+ mark to see if i could afford to do the modifactions to a new car

if you have stage one or stage 2 and could let me know what bhp gain and cost you paid would be great

Entering a mind field here mate stage one map your looking at 240bhp I would say, how do you want your car loud or quiet as possible with most power?

just looking rough guides what is possible and how much to get around the 250+ bhp

not to loud sort of like a s3 sound or rs3 i like the oem look and sound

Well to get around 240bhp it's a stage one map anywhere from £300-600 I say, there's good mapping companies that a lot of people on the forum rate, air filter wise you can go enclosed filter like forge twin take and pick a used one up for about £200 or £400 new or you can get a cone filter style kit like the revo filter (expensive) or a ramair or neuspeed kit new for around £200 new, this is for sound really and you could imo get a piper cross panel filter with the same performance. I have a large pipe ramair on mine.

There's lots of options exhaust wise, 200 cell cat with a resonated cat back would be a quiet option, your looking £1200 new for miltek..... About £850 for a decat non res system (system I have fitted) or wait to get a used system for £300-£500, if you remapped the car with these mods then your looking at 260-270 bhp, maybe another DV will need to be fitted for a stage 2 map (forge or rev D valve I think) I have forge, and stage 2 map won't be too much difference in price than a stage one

Hope this helps mate

If your looking at that kind of power your also going to have a look at a new clutch, Sachs organic will cover it I think £550 without fitting, I'm remapping mine in a few months at unicorn in Stockport, never used them personally but I've only heard good things, clutch and OEM DMF should be okay I think, it's something I'm looking into currently

I dont think i woudl want to go down to many modifactions

Maybe the remap
air fliter
exhaust route

would this see me between 250-260bhp and i woudlnt need to upgrade the clutch or brekaes?

Im just trying to workout if i can sensibly get a 197bhp car to around 250 without damage to the car for around £1000

Without a clutch my car will be sat at around that for under a grand yes, but that's shopping around and waiting for good priced parts too pop up

2.0tfsi 2009 plate owner here. Got remap in June this year. You will get 240-250 bhp solely from a good remap. Should cost £300 onwards. I paid £290 at R-Tech. Don't just go horse chasing, torques and a smooth delivery to use on the road is I would say equally important.

If yours is 2010 then yours is a EA888 2.0tsi engine and not a 2.0tfsi. Despite what it will say on your engine cover.

I know cos mine is, and I went to R-Tech and found that out! They don't normally map the EA888 tsi but did so for me as I was there, and it was a honest error! My remap was toned down a bit due to clutch slip identified during the mapping process. 10,000 miles later I haven't had any issues with the car. I am more than happy to stick with solely the map. £290 and its a no brainer and such a difference to the car. I spent £400 sorting out the speakers and sound deadening which again gave me great bang for buck.

If I want more power with this car, then I need exhaust and clutch and perhaps other things. That doesnt pass my bang for buck test. The map does enough for me. Only you know whether £300 for a map solely will pass yours...

I currently drive a 10 plate 1.6 petrol with 34k on the clock which needs new pads hence other thread. Its due mot in 2 weeks once it's through mot I'm going to sell it and upgrade to a 2.0 tfsi

I want more power. My plan was to hold onto my current car for a year or 2 before upgrading but I'm only getting 30mpg at the min so I might as well upgrade now

What bhp and torque are you getting out of the map with no clutch slip? When I come to map I don't really want to change my clutch but I think it will be pushing 260-270bhp hopefully and over 300lb ft of torque :/

If your thinking about induction kits and exhaust, then you will be thinking of upgrading your clutch also as your standard one will weaken quickly.
Also with an induction kit and exhaust you will want to start thinking of stage 2 and then 2+.
Im on stage 1 240bhp with pipercross panel filter and GFB DV+, I might be going up a a stage to 2+, If I do I will get a BCS powervalve exhaust, not sure which induction kit yet and a high pressure fuel pump with a new map about £2500 or save the money and get an S3 and save up and do the same to the S3. Decisions. :help:

Sorry for robbing your thread a bit op, I've got a turbo back decat non res miltek, large pipe ramair and a forge DV, I'm ready for stage 2 but I just don't want to be buying a Sachs clutch! Expensive!

I got TFSI 2.0 197bhp standard.
Got a stage 1 map on from flash remapping now car is totally transformed!
245bhp 272ft lbs :)
Also have Ramair filter! Check my build thread for videos!
Next is GFB DV :)

I have a 2007 TSFI Bluefin remap, Pipercross filter and have the GFB diverter valve fitted tomorrow.

The diverter valve was needed after the stage 1 remap, the stock one will just not handle the increase in pressure from the turbo.

Also checked out a few of TimWills28 vids and did my headlights, sidelights and soon to be done will be the fogs :superman: - cheers Tim

BHP/Torque very similar to Tims above - my clutch had done 105k when I had the map done.

My tfsi is running 255bhp with 355nm torque. Main things I did was map, full miltek exhaust, induction. There are few other bits but more maintenance upgrades but guess everything helps, check my thread as well

TSI engines don't require a hpfp for Stage 2+ which doesn't really exist for this engine.

With that kind of torque have you updated your clutch or is your standard one still pulling through? It's the only thing putting me off a stage 2 map

Sorry just saw that you have put it in Nm and not lb ft, I'm guessing the clutch is okay up to that point, would love a guide line of at what power my clutch will start to slip, I want power but I do about 12/13000 miles a year!

I'm still on standard clutch, I don't drive it hard all the time to be fair but eventually I know the time will come but so far so good

Cheers bud :) happy to help! Single din to double din conversion video coming soon!

thanks for all the replys.

I think i would be happy with 250bhp just doing a

rempap
air filter
dump valve

anyone with a upgraded engine of any kind could you tell me your average mpg, current bhp and your daily milage just for a bit of an idea

Dont fit a dump valve, just upgrade your turbo diverter valve to the gfb dv+, dump valves work in a different way and dump the air into air as apposed to back through the turbo and exhaust system, the tfsi is a very advanced system that is set up this way for very good reason, Le-Mans engineering for your car.
240 bhp from superchips bluefin stage 1. The computer reads 30mpg on average town b road driving with the odd spirited foot down to overtake grandad doing 35 in a 60 national speed limit sign. http://data:image/jpeg;base64,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
and could probably get 36/37mpg on the motorway staying at a very steady 70mph.

That mpg is good going, I average 18-22, all round town driving :/ yeah not one for the blow off valve either you can also get a forge recirc like mine, pick them up cheap enough used

No disrespect Cambaines, the GFB DV+ is better and circa £97.

i drive a 10 plate 1.6 technik 105bhp do around 10 mile a day across town driving and only get 30mpg and 33 when i do a 60 mile long trip

I would even consider getting the 2.0 turbo diesel anything with more power than I've got for over 30mpg

As long as your happy mate, did you have to do an adaption to make it fit?

No mate it was off an s3, it was a ball ache to fit being on the turbo, I won't be taking it off again put it that way! Happy I changed from the standard though

Yeah its fairly tight in there amoungs it all, was a bit tight doing the dv+ but doable for a novice with right tools.

Jeez guy's, I'm getting better than this out of a 3.2.....!

33 mpg average, (measured), 250 bhp and sweet exhaust music.

(Or it wold be gone cos I'm Scottish and tight).

Mental that! I've just found out my thermostat isn't working right so I may get some back from that! The Quattro loses you about 3/4 mpg!
