Audi A3 2006 tdi gear problems?

Hey guys,

Got a problem that came on tonight while driving home, it become really hard to get into every gear it didn't slide into gear but like in a two part shift and when the car is in gear there seems to be a lot of play in the knob the movement.

It was fine for about 20 mins of the 30 min drive.

If anyone has any idea it be much appreciated

I would say the fault lies somewhere with your gear box linkages. Take you air box out and you will be able to see/access your linkages, I'd check them first.
