Hey!

So i have seen other threads similar but wanted to ask - im looking to get a Spoiler for my A3 , but have been told the current spoiler is tiger sealed to the boot - has anyone upgraded their A3 Sportback with a spoiler and if so how did you do it, or did you replace the entire boot for example? Below is what it currently looks like for reference.

Thanks to anyone that can help!

That isn't a spoiler, thats the boot lid, fitted numerous spoilers on these cars, proper sline spoiler is the one to fit.

Ah makes more sense then! Glad i asked here lol, if i bought a aftermarket or Sline spoiler wouldn't i have to glue it on top of this correct? (Might look a bit silly i would have thought?) or what would you do?

The S-Line spoilers look the best.

However, the Audi dealership also have another spoiler that looks like it and is lots cheaper.

Hello, thank you for that!

Do you have the link or model to the spoiler you used there? Also was it easy to install or do you remember the process?

The genuine spoilers have a stud either side. Some people drill a hole in the tailgate and then treat the bare metal edge, then using nuts and washers plus some tiger seal or equivalent tighten the spoiler down. Some people cut the studs off and just use the sealer to stick it down. The choice is up to you, both methods work fine. When I did mine I drilled the tailgate and used sealer.
