Audi A3 car won't start

Hi all !
Just a quick one changed my Audi A3 01 petrol engine fuel pump yesterday an now it won't start ! Have since changed the fuel filter as well now just incase but it will just turn over, have checked fuses an relay seems to be ok ! The thing I might be worried about is I did mark the fuel pump before taking it out or back in cause I didn't think it would have mattered?maybe this is the problem ?
Would be really greatful of any advise As head is wrecked at this stage cheers j

Have you checked connections at fuel pump end? Prime the fuel pump properly by turning ignition on and off a few times before trying to turn it over?
