Audi A3 Replacement Wing Mirror Cost?

Hi guys, Please could you tell me how much money would I be looking at replacing an Audi A3 8P full wing mirror unit?

Basically the whole unit has been smashed off.

Would it be advisable to go through Audi? or can you get a replacement unit from elsewhere for cheaper?

They come in all separate pieces from Audi... Will set you back quiet a bit...
£260 EACH!!!! And that's not including paint.
You will need the wing mirror glass
mountain
cap (back bit)
turn signal
do not go through audi!! Will cost you an arm and a leg!!!

Not only is it really expensive but also really difficult to do! Audi main dealer told me the only way is to take the door completely apart. Luckily I managed to do a professional bodge

It's a 56 reg, in black. I assume if you buy these second hand it come with the base plate attached to the mirror as thats been snapped of the hinge aswell.

When someone smashed mine off I got the parts from Audi:

Mirror glass £32
Mount £79

That was for the non auto-folding mount.
I didn't get the cap because it was still in one piece just with some scratches.

Is it possible to replace just the mount. Some idiot just snapped mine at the aluminium mount. The rest is OK. Unfortunately I don't know who the idiot is (fortunately for him). I have an 09 sportback A3

did you manage to get a new mount the sames just happened to me!

The bases are not too much money, just fitted them is the pain as you need to remove the door card.
As long as the cap and mirror glass is fine then you should be able to pick up a mirror base on eBay for cheap.

Yes, cap looks fine and as long as there are no cracks on the mirror glass that should be reusable.
