So just straight to the point here are all the questions im currently wondering about my car…

are the avf engines louder and more tractor like than lets say the 2.0 brd engines, 1.9 atd and other 1.9 engines found in golf mk4 the 101hp versions i think

i finnaly resolved the vibrations inside cabin with new engine mounts but there is still an occasional judder you can feel trough the seat (nothing serious) is it the flywheel?

my gearknob vibrates when accelerating (transmission mount changed) and the car vibrates a little when taking off especially when althere are 4 people in the car and the car is wormed up…

thanks everyone for help

The 1.9s are very agricultural sounding, tbh it's their worst character trait, but on the plus they are mega reliable compared to the 2.0 PD's the came afterwards.

The judder you feel is most likely a worn dual mass flywheel, particular if it only happens when moving off. My does the same and is the original clutch and flywheel at 127k miles. It never slips under power so I just nurse it along carefully when pulling away and it seems to be lasting well so far.

Yes it vibrates when pulling off, and when on idle sometimes i feel a slight judder… my car is on 273k miles and probably the original clutch and flywheel
