Hi all I have a 2013 a4
I have MMI 3G not the hdd (no joystick) in the middle of the turn'y knob

Any how can anyone confirm the part number for DAB I been looking on eBay for ages and every one seems to have conflicting info about 2008-2012 and 2008-2015 I know the b8.5 is mine but have no idea on part numbers

Thank you

Paul

You'll need a new radio tuner which is expensive, new antennas, CP removal and additional coding.

For the saloon, if you have got the standard MMI radio 053 or 056 (can't remember off hand which) in the boot this upgrade is pretty easy. The 061 should be a straight swap. You will need a DAB antenna amplifier (eBay ~£20-30) which goes on the drivers side rear pillar. A 3m fakra to fakra cable (eBay less than £20) with the blue universal connectors which runs to the radio from the antenna amp. If you are lucky the 061 unit will not need coding, there is one bit in the coding that tells the radio whether you have an external audio amp (Bose or B&O) or not. As for the antenna/aerial, the B8 had one in the rear screen. I don't know if the B8.5 is different?? Finally you will need the component protection removed by Audi or one of a few independent Audi specialists.

Any chance of part number on aerial amp and aerial please thank you so much for the info

Antenna amplifier = 8K5 035 225 AC. I've used a 2G version 8K5 035 225 E, which seems to work OK. I don't know any aerial part numbers as mine is in my rear screen.

Just a update I swapped the unit for a 061 and it worked I swapped my eeprom into the dab and component protection wasn't an issue

Just the amp now

I read the dab one then my original one to make backups
Tested dab and yep component protection
Then swapped it both 24c256
Tested and it reset it's stations etc and worked
