Hiya have a 2005 audi a6 2.5tdi allroad . Have inherited this car . My friend had it diagnosed as a faulty injection pump . Front end off engine all timed up and locking pins in .
Pump removed and replacement arrived . But never had the pulley on it .
The shaft on pump is tapered has a hole what looks like a woodruff key would go in ,but pulley Centre is tapered and no guide to where it sits .
I Know there is a hole on the pulley for timing pin to go into but the shaft is free to turn and I can lock it up in wrong position .
Any one with an idea where it should go or how to get correct position . Thanks phill
