Audi connect and data plan ?

Hi, i am just after information on the Audi connect and how to actually use it, am i correct in thinking i cant use my phone (samsung S7)for the Audi connect , i have a sim card slot, is it simply a case of buying a data only sim card ?, if so which one ?

If you search for it in this section it's been discussed a number of times.

Look for 'sharer' as its referring to a type of sim deal you can get and should be unique to your queries.

Thanks, so i am right in thinking i need a sim card and the phone cant be used, PS i am on O2 so no sharing option i don't think.
