Does anyone advise getting track day insurance? It's £200 for the day with a £2,000 excess and I'm wondering if it's a really safe event and maybe I don't need it......or have there been accidents in the ast on the track?

I'd get the insurance mate. You'l probably be ok but I would get some just in case.

You may take it easy, however others may be trying hard and could lose control and slam into you.

There are normally a few crashes during the day.

I clean my beast all the time for events like these Rich, 1st year it was roadworks on the M5, second year, it was pi55ing it down on the way there lol. Outlook is looking good for this coming weekend though, and the beast is nicely cleaned up outside my drive atm... maybe the gearbox will go again on the way down haha.

Now as for the time, if we plan to be at the Pub at 8, how about 7AM? Does that sound right? Or perhaps 6:45 to be on the safe side (Don't want to be late at the pub again!)
