Hi new to the forum

Looking to sell my audi s3 8p manual 2008 and upgrade to a rs3.

Now I drive 100 miles a day to work on the m4 (50 there 50 back) to Bristol and in my s3 I achieve 32-37 mpg.

Im not really bothered by the mpg just more curious more than anything.

What could I expect to achieve from a 2015+ rs3. standard/stage 1.

I’ve just gone from a 65 plate S3 to a 16 plate RS3.
Driving from the North East to Glos/Cotswolds i got 35mpg (in comfort), which i thought was pretty good (cruise set to 71mph). Most i ever got from my S3 was 39mpg.

Mine was a steady 26mpg over 41k miles.

TX.

I find it similar to a stage2 Golf R if not better.

On a boring run down south (in convoy) I've seen 40mpg before I got bored.

30mpg on a half decent run.

You won’t see much difference, the RS sat between 60 and 70 on the motorway can achieve 37/38mpg quite easily, that’s calculated not what’s shown on the dash so is accurate.

My average which is mostly local driving is 24.9mpg, that is over 17,500 miles. My S3 over 11,800 miles achieved 25.10mpg, that was with a steady regular commute as well for the majority of its life mixed with the same local driving / occasional long trips.

You won’t be disappointed with the RS ‘economy’, it is very comparable. Stage 1 will likely help even more....

Will be nice to have another owner on this side of the bridge, my Dad commutes to Avonmouth daily also.

Currently drive 100 miles round trip
75 of those being motorway miles. 26mpg average. I’m filling the tank up every third day. Was doing the same journey in my
S3 refuelling every third/fourth day & strangely the A3 would manage the full working week.

expect the fuel consumption to be around 10% more than your S3, I've had a Golf R for a year and it consumed exactly 10% less than the RS3 in same trips. Around 26/27 mpg on the Golf R, and 24 mpg on the RS3.
