Any pics? Looking back I wish mine was a different colour, really like the Suzuka grey :)

Get it resprayed. There is another guy who did the same thing but with a 3.2 V6 Supercharger, said he would make a build thread, but never did :3sadwalk:

sideskirts are fitted in pic but not sure if they are the correct ones though?? Didn't realise until it came out of the paint shop. Was really annoyed with myself as I like everything perfect.

Looking for side skirts too any idea how much they are from audi the whole shebang.

Probably better off calling them, off the top of my head it was around £540 for the skirts & fixings.

E mailed Stoke audi when i googled them they need part numbers anyone with the full list please help, is that 540 include sills and door blades? Cheers

AFAIK the RS3 uses the same skirts as the S3, that price wont include the door blades or the different sized door sill covers that the rs3/S3 use. Might be worth asking N8 for part numbers as I'm sure he fitted some to his.

You went for the matt alu pack, but why not the rear spoiler?

All genuine Audi Rs3 parts used in the making of this 2008 pre-facelift Replica.
you went for matt aluminium pack but you never had the silver ends on the rear boot spoiler

I've read this post and tend to agree with both sides on the replica debate... I for 1 hate replicas, but this is where i'm torn.... To have an A3 lets face it the styling is pretty bland! The only way to go really is s3/rs3... I'd love to have the rs3 kit on my car, but heres where the other bit comes in... I would de-badge the rs part and keep mine solely badged as s3 (because its not a RS).... You kinda contradict yourself slightly in this thread by saying you would never go and buy this car at 40k but then your more than happy to let the untrained eyed people amongst us think that you had....?

IMHO I think the work you have done is great, car looks good.... But a pet hate of mine is when people try and pass things off as just something they are not! With objects and people themselves..... Debadge the rs and your on to a winner in my view tho!

Thanks to copycat and replica owners a spate of RS3 interiors thefts have occurred, just do us all a favour and buy the bits you need rather than 'acquiring' them......... the bit I don't get is buying RS3 badges and sticking them on a diesel. If it was an S3 I could understand it, we're never going to agree on this.......

how did they do that without setting the alarm off?

I didn't go for the Matt aluminium on rear spoiler as in not keen on it to be honest, it just doesn't do it for me so left it as it was.

The Rs3 badges were already fitted to the body parts so also left them as they were to save any paint damage whilst removing.

I'm quite happy to drive around in something that looks 40k, if I was spending 40k on an Audi then there would be no doubt in my mind that it wouldn't be an Rs3 sitting on my driveway. I really can't justify the price on them? Don't get me wrong there nice cars but 35-40k

How much was the rear boot spoiler Shades Rs if you can get me the part no too please
Thanks

Hi nezz, if I can remember the spoilers are £350 in Audi plus the beak light I ended up buying a complete tailgate from Germany for £350 inc delivery, therefore I save on brake light and I get to sell my tailgate to claw back some pennies :) can't remember if there was vat to be added on main dealer price or if it was included? I have a list with all items needed and part numbers on from dealer. I will dig it out

Thanks got an s3 rear , side skirts and s line front with rs3 grill the spoiler should finish the back end nicely.

Rs3 rear spoiler is a must, they really do set the rear end off, much nicer than your big standard spoilers as the reflection of spoiler on the rear screen really emphasizes it's shape.

How about on the boot lid it says rs3 tdi

I have thought of something along those lines but unsure? Rs3D Lol.. Might just be easier de-badging?

Hi hollow, it has passed my mind several times as I have some property projects on the go but I know I be sorry if I did let it go, as I have done a few years back with my Rs500 and most recent Escort Cosworth.
Everything is pretty much new on the car, engine has covered just 20k miles, and pretty much fully loaded, it's also 170bhp re-mapped to 204.

How about on the boot lid it says rs3 tdi

but why?? Its not an 'RS' or even a 'S'.... Its a tdi with a bodykit...

I'm not knocking it, I think it looks great, but I totally understand why the RS3 guys get so upset...

Just need wider wheels, RS3s seeming having wider wheels, also need to lower it...

Apparently the Rs3's run spacers on the front, mine doesn't have these but will come in time along with coilovers. Managed to pick up another plate, and before someone says... I know the black/silver plates are illegal for the year of car and I will be getting my lower spoiler grove painted black ;-)

That's the ticket, The A3 now has the looks but with the low running costs as a daily runner ;-) An R8 is on the cards for a performing weekender, will update you when its here, then I'm sure I will get the TDi image posted on that post 2 lol..

I'd prefer an RS3 with a TDi bodykit LOL. No worries about parking it then when I'm staying in some dodgy areas on business!

do you have any better pics of this from all round? starting to like them quite a bit.
i have seen a few reps pop up on ebay, most of them look crap, but there have been 1 or 2 good jobs!!!

I would have gone with the black grill and all the chrome bits black, spending 4k would have opted for other alloys as well, would have left the RS badging off as well to keep people guessing. Thats what i like about debadged a3's they look like just another ordinary a3 is at deisel ? tfsi who knows people pay it no heed. The RS & S you know straight away what they are. kudos for using OEM parts aftermarket would have been a bad idea

Fair play to you mate, looks good. Each to their own.. if you want to make a RS3 replica, why not! It's your car do what you want
PS: personally I would de-badge it.. think that might be taking it a bit to far though :sly: lol!
