Hi guys,

Anyone got any really good quotes for their S3 8P, will be looking at insuring one in the very near future and if anyone has any insurance companies they would recommend that would be great?

If you don't have any modifications fitted, more so performance related, then 1st Central are generally the cheapest. You can choose not to tell insurers about modifications of course but that's a very risky game and will instantly void your insurance if they find out, so not worth doing to be honest.

No modifications, completely standard car mate. I have heard however that first central are not the best insurance company in the world....

Okay perfect.

Yeah the mainstream ones are being ridiculous quotes wise, and all because someone crashed into me.. my ncb was not changed, they claimed off their own insurance and not mine.

If you do modify it then Greenlight are excellent.

They insure mine for a very reasonable amount considering it's not exactly standard...

I went with A-Plan for my insurance. The mainstream providers were quoting exorbitant amounts (even considering my age and 15 yrs no-claims) - choosing a specialist provider is the way to go.

Have you ever made a claim via A-Plan? ( I believe they're just a broker but would be interested in your experience).

Adrian flux (marker study) were quoting me £960 for my modded S3, gave Greenlight a call and they went to 560 with a maybe of sub 500, got back to Adrian flux to cancel and they got me to 470!!!!

Result 460 back in the bank for a few phone calls.

Tried to get it down last year with no better quote, told the I was leaving and if by magic nearly half the price?? bunch of robbers

Adrian Flux (Marker Study) for me as well. £340 but age and NCB is on my side.

Hi,
Please feel free to give us a try for insurance if you like. If you wanted to PM me some contact details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.
Regards,
Dan.

I have been with 1st Central for 3yr and they have been reasonable sub £500 . But consider age, ncb , mods where parked and alarm helps bring the price down but the Srea you live in can make it high due to the amount off claims made over a year ie house, car etc
