For those who have changed the springs on their cars, what sort of costs did you pay for fitting the springs ?
My local VAG specialist have always been good with prices when it comes to work on my car. But have quoted almost £400 to change the springs.

Does this sound about right ?

Is that £400 including labour?
Would expect labour to be around £150-200 if all goes well.

I meant almost £400 for labour.
Diy might be cheaper but I rather pay for someone when it’s comes to messing around with suspension, brakes, steering assembly for piece of mind.
And ofc some of us don’t have the time to do diy work.

WOW. That’s dealership prices.
I would expect 45-60min per corner at around £50-60 per hour which is reasonable for independent. £200 ish I would say is reasonable.
For £400 I would expect 4 wheel laser alignment too.

Thats why I make time and do it all myself, can’t stand to pay the prices places charge.

£400 is a lot for labour alone to fit springs. Depending on which springs you were wanting to go for, you should be able to buy the springs and fit for that price.
