Audi S5 Clutch

Hello, would be really grateful if someone could answer a quick question about my clutch?

If im pulling away/out of junction while putting my foot down a little my clutch will only go down about 60%... is this some sort of time saving thing or is my clutch on the way out?

Just catches me by surprise as never seen or heard of anything like it before

Ohh and it feels like it slips into the next gear, the revs dont drop and come back when you select the next gear like a normal car..

Watched a wheeler dealers recently when they did a Scooby. Reckoned 75k was all you'd get out if it.
I'm no expert but if your bite is right at the top of travel I reckon it may need changed.
Strange that 60% issue. Sounds like it isn't disengaging properly.
Any warranty on the car or will you have to foot the bill for a clutch change?

No warranty, just ran out couple months ago how much is the average price to change the clutch on these things?

Depends on the car. 2wd will be a bit cheaper than Quattro as there is less to strip out to get the gearbox off.
Best seek the advice of a good independent specialist.
Where are you based? Maybe someone can point you if you don't know any one.

I just had mine done at 69K, clutch juder when warm, hard to start, horid gear changes. cost £1495 all in, new flywheel etc.

Ohh dear cant afford to spend this sort of money close to Christmas.. guess it will hold out till the new year as it only slips when i put my foot down even then only 15-20% of the time

I had my clutch and flywheel in my S5 replaced earlier this year by audi-specialists and they were very knowledgeably about all things Audi, if I lived closer I would use them for all my servicing needs.
