Audi smart key shell/cover replacement

Hi everyone,

Keyfob of our 2020 Q7 has recently lost one of its buttons with some help of a friendly dog.
Does anyone know if shell of these keyfobs are transferable like the older generation Audi keys used to by just simply taking it apart? There’s a few YouTube videos on replacing the battery but nothing on disassembling it.
I was thinking to get a used replacement from ebay and just switch the shell without a massive bill from a dealer.

I would contact the dealer & say the button fell out, see what they say, worth a call.

I'm sure you could swap the shells over tbh.

Have a look on aliexpress. I got I replacement shell for like £15-20 for an old golf a while back and it worked very well. A bit fiddly to remove the key blade other than that it’s not too bad

thank you both for replies. I have gone the dealer route and was able to get the key replacement under warranty.
