Audi TTS MK2 2008 Door won't open from the outside once unlocked
This may happen to either passenger or drivers door. My problem featured is the passenger side door.
My problem was the actuator mechanism which I had replaced one year earlier for the same reason mentioned above.
It has two small motors that activate the locking / unlocking mechanisms to either the large motor for the outside door handle or the smaller motor for the inside door handle. These motors are both inside the door actuator mechanism.
I followed this video before dealing into the quite easy tear down dismantling of the Audi door actuator mechanism.
The guy in the video even mended the motor internals but mine were 1 year old and saw that the motor was ok. It was my motor pos neg connectors that had weak solders. As you can see in the picture, one connector is stuck to the motor, as it should be stuck to the circuitry.
I took the connector out of the motor and soldered it back to the circuitry, it slots into its plastic slits just like the other side does. Then solder its wire arm to the circuitry.
Once the connectors are soldered to circuitry and straight, the motor should fit back onto connectors. Be careful not to bend or force as they should align up and click into place.
I hope this helps as this did the trick for me. Thanks to the video from sootpig youtube.
