I'm looking to get this done as well (swapping out my non-sport heated seats to TT MK2s). Closest DIY I've found is this Baz:

Great write up you found. I live 1000k's from seller and at the moment he wont ship.
Now I've seen those I might look more locally.

Seats not always that cheap here, this one was a lucky find.
