My poor B5 S4 is starting to get rusty arces and needs some other body work stuff..... Mainly because ages ago I rolled the wings, as I run coilovers and 19s in the summer....
I've taken it to a couple of body shops to clean and repaint and this is what happens....:
Shop: 'Nah, you need new wings mate.:
Me:'OK how much its that?'
Shop 'about £150 a side.'
Me: Great! can you roll them?
Shop: 'No we don't do that, when do you want to book it in?'
Me: 'Errrr no, the wheels will rub and I'll be back here in a bout 3 months with the same problem.....'
one body shop just said nah dont do old cars....great. This reminds me, exactly why I bought a roller and did it myself years ago (I then sold the roller on). Now I'm bit older slightly more expendable income and cant be ***** with that! So now I'm looking at a more permanent solution. Im even considering fixing my wings as they are and taking a fibre glass mould, so then I have the clearance I want and no rust issues.
However I did find these Muecke wings that look great except they have too much clearance! they look like RS4 front which worries my as without modifying the rear, wont the look silly???
