B7 MFSW into B6 write up

fooooook that for a laugh. handy guide though for any1 wanting to undertake the task! id probably set the friggin airbag offg in me face if i attempted anything like that

I can't see its that difficult ! I just need to get my hands on the parts to be able to do it.
I also need to have a good sit down with VAGCOM for a learning session.

So, anyone have a B7 MFSW and the parts needed ? Perhaps a crashed B7 ?

That guide is basically the sort of thing you do to fit the cruise control, not as bad as it looks.

Yep, nice upgrade, but £600 (and thats at todays great exchange rate with the USA) is a shedload of cash that you wil never see again !
Think I will wait till I get my B7......

I'm not going to buy the bits new, there must be enough mashed up B7s out there for me to pinch some pits from!!

Your airbag may not work when you change to a B7 steering wheel - the new auirbags are 2 stage, the B6's are single stage. No one has tested whether or not it will work when swapped.
