B7 RS4 Max 7000rpm

I had a problem with my engine a while ago and it was replaced by Audi in Holland, where it broke down.
Since then the engine has been limited to 7000rpm, as if it was still cold. Can it be fixed with Ross Tech VCDS software?

I hope it was under warranty, as those engines are as much as new cars these days.

The question was can it be fixed with VCDS software...I already know the cost of the new engine . You're probably the best person to ask, can the 7000rpm limit be removed?
