Some time ago I purchased a set of lightly-used B8 shocks together with H&R lowering springs for the S3 at a decent price. The dampers are in overall great condition and have clearly not seen much use judging by their external condition. However, I've now noticed that one of the front damper shafts is scored (see pic). Not sure how this would have happened, but you can feel the marks in the shaft with your finger. The damper feels smooth when compressed manually and the rubber seal/wiper doesn't appear to be damaged in any way. What do you reckon - should this be OK?

Crappy pic I know, but all it shows is the score mark on the shaft you can see on the smaller picture. It's a rough area on the shaft itself, which you can feel with your finger nail.
