Not to put too, fine a point on it, they are dire.... can barely tell they are on or see the road in front of me. What's the best plan, new bulbs that are updated or something else?

Mine are really good to be honest, I have been well impressed with them.

Have a chat with @t8ups he is a site sponsor and the only man to go to for your lighting needs.

The output of the bulbs drop as they age, However if the bulbs are not original and have been swapped for some Ebay copys this may be the problem.

I'll swap you with my halogen ones. Then you'll appreciate your xenons.

My adaptive B8.5 lights are unbelievable. Better than anything I've ever had including top end LED jobbies.

I have Morimoto clear projector lenses, modified shutters and RV shield delete. I'm running osram CBI's

Spot on mate. Put about 1000 miles on them now. I made some adjustments to the aiming after fitting the CBI's and they are unbelievable now. I use the car a lot at night on country roads and you honestly have no need for full beam.

Motorway mode is crazy too.

Had so many people comment on the cutoff and colour on road signs and people's bumpers. It's pin sharp at over 100ft away.

My xenons are like candles too.
When the lights are on you can see a sort of milky film over the round lense.
I need to find a way of cleaning this up. I've checked youtube, and there's a vid of someone taking his apart. But because mine are self levelling, it's not that straight forward.

Trups who runs EM tuning and i upgraded my adaptive ones with clear lenses. We made a guide: http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/index.php?threads/301858/

The standard B8.5 lenses are clearer than the B8 and it was a huge difference on mine. It would literally be night and day i reckon.

I am going to have a go at doing this, even if it's just to clean the lenses. My lights are different though, as I have a face lift A6 C6 with the strip of led's along the bottom edge. Hopefully, it will be a similar operation.
Only after this will I upgrade the bulbs.
Thanks for the link.
