B9 RS4 Sport Ed - Stop/Start horrors

My 2019 B9 RS4 stop/start is a thing of horror. It's like a fairground ride when it cuts out stopping the car dead and properly unpleasant. I normally turn it off but wondered if a) other people have the same issue and b) can you permanently turn the stop/start off via VCDS

Same on every car I've owned with stop start - start engine, turn off SS.

Think @DJAlix does a module that remembers whether start stop was on or not the previous journey. Could be mistaking it for drive mode though

I don't think my neighbours like my as I leave for work just now at 4:30am and when i crank it in Dynamic in the garage it's 'slightly noisy', i've got a 911 as well and even it's quieter now

I very occasionally let my start stop do its thing, when ive pulled up at lights that I know are going to be red for a while, but it stays off 95% of the time.
I have installed a "switch reverser" so that when you start the car, the start stop system defaults to Off, and you have to press the button to turn it on, rather than the default, On until you press the button.
