Hi Phil, See you are from Cannock. Local to me in Heath Hayes.
Car parts for less will be cheaper but you will have to wait for it to be delivered. As opposed to popping over to ECP and picking it up. I doubt you have an 027 battery on a B8 more likely to be an 096. Take a picture of the top of the battery with the part number on it.
What size engine is the car ?. CP4L have 15% off ,but much lower starting prices.
A Lion battery is no better than a Leoch so if that's what you are looking at you may as well get a Leoch if it's cheaper.
Varta silver are the best but ECP /CP4L only sell Bosch S5.

I would have said go to battery bay in Cannock but they now only seem to stock Leoch batteries. I got my Varta from them a few years ago at a good price.
You could give them a ring and see what they have. http://www.batterybayuk.com/

Tayna are pretty good for quality batteries at reasonable prices.

I did hope you’d reply aha! Great, work on Hyssop Close near the Orbital!
The cars a 1.8, so to which would be sufficient? Could I uprate the battery? Sorry for being a complete noob in this department..

That battery looks like a 110 battery if you measure it should be something like 175 x 175 x 315mm.
Best to replace like with like. For a 1.8 petrol that is quite a reasonable size battery.

If it was my car I would fit a Varta F18.

Or the EXIDE as a second choice. A cheap battery will still cost you£75 so you may as well pay a bit more and get something decent.

Measured it up, same size so it’s on order!
Will it need coding Karl?? Is it possible to install and get it coded at a later time or should it done as it’s replaced? Thanks for the info!

You shouldn't have to code it if replacing like with like the car will figure out it's got a new battery after a few days.
