Battery / Seat Swap Question

Hi all

I am doing a few mods on my MMI this weekend (thanks Archie) and am going to be putting some new seats in next weekend. I was wondering, most of the guides I've seen advise you to disconnect the battery when swapping the seats - will I lose my VCDS changes if I do this? If so, does anyone know if disconnecting the battery is essential? Is it to prevent an Airbag warning light?

Any help as always gratefully received.

You wont lose any coding done with VCDS if you disconnect battery.
