Best engine oil for a 1.8tfsi?

Hi, my 1.8tfsi has burned through almost a liter of oil in just 3400 miles, i'm pretty sure I have the oil consumption issue, but it's a 2008 B8 A4 1.8TFSI, it has 76k on the clock now.

What would be the best engine oil to use for the car?

They said it has to consume 1200 miles per liter for there to be a problem, apparently this consumption is "Pretty good" from what the person at Audi told me. They told me to bring it in and have the test for £140 because my car doesn't fall within the affected car range of 2009 - 2011, mines a 2008, it would pass the oil consumption test anyway dfjkuoersojnilgikmj, don't know what to do at the moment...
