So I sold my car and I am using my fathers old car (he upgraded to a lovely Daytona Grey 8V) whilst I look for a new car / to keep my insurance NCB building.

The car is a manual which I hardly fit in but its great.

It also has horrid halogen headlights. Very yellow and not much beam. I tried taking them to the multistory Waitrose carpark (in Chester) and facing the white wall could barely see the ECE patterns!!! Thinking of upgrading them. So far the best bulbs seem to be https://www.powerbulbs.com/product/philips-racingvision-h7-twin These only last for 6 months due to light output. Any other suggestions?

I won't be converting them to projectors.... and I am not sure what the deal is with LED bulbs in halogen housings I feel they would blind oncoming traffic and might break the wiper?

It's these lights

I’ve got PIAA H7’s as the main beam on my car , not sure of the exact colour though think they are equivalent to 4300K as they were bought a few years ago and originally fitted to my A4.
Have had several sets of PIAA bulbs now and whilst not cheap find they are very good and last a long time.

Philips Xtreme Vision is road legal and very good. I have a barely used pair (upgraded to projector lens) you can have for £10 posted.

The 2nd place Ring now have a Xenon 150 out now that has a longer life than the Philips RacingVision 150 .
