I'm after another S3 so any ideas best place to look? I'm already scouring on here and eBay + auto trader, not keen on pistonheads always seems to be a lot of scams on there!

I picked mine up from Pistonheads. Took me 3 months but very happy.

There's loads of scams on autotrader to.. Just have to keep looking , viewing, being disappointed a good few times with the cars not being as described until you come across 'thee one' and BAM !! You'll be driving home a happy chappy.

Ye there's also loads on trader ur rite, suppose there all over these scammers. Gonna keep looking an like u say BAM she'll be there!

What's your budget? Where are you located?

Be careful of 'working over-seas' sellers, lots of scams about trying to pull that one, also anyone saying that you can use an Amazon holding account for the transaction as they will describe it as refundable when Amazon themselves say it is not.
On the other hand lots of genuine sellers out there, good luck!

got mine from pistonheads also, seen it got it a week later!

Budgets £11-12k I'm located in sheffield, don't mind travelling tho within sensible distances. I don't want a black one tho I've had black with all 4 of my S3's. I had black and went back but not this time ;). The last 8l I had was from pistonheads and I loved it so I'll be looking on there. My recent 8p was off of eBay an I loved that.

4 S3's??? I take it you like an S3 ha

I'm always on car sites, I'll have a look out and put some links up if anything decent pops up.

How much can I ask Alex please? If that's not cheeky

Mine was 25k with 15k miles - I'm sure I paid more than should of but I suppose you get benefits with audi - just had look on there for you and they have one for 14000 with 60k - grey

Ye seen that, sadly it's cat D. My face is constantly in my phone or iPad, think I'm forgetting what our lass's tits look like!

Hahaha

Oh is it sorry I didn't read it all ha just had quick look on my iphone

I set myself a budget of 15k a year ago for a facelift model and realised after a while that a good one was almost impossible at that price. It still took me 3 months to find a pre-facelift with the spec i wanted that was well looked after and i traveled miles to see two others.

Its a waiting game for a car like this IMO, every now and then a good one pops up just look daily and youll find one on the usual sites. Buying from Audi used you will pay about 2k more than private but you get a warranty and associated perks that a dealer provides for somepeople its a nice safety net. Alternatively you can get the RAC to inspect a car being sold privately before you hand over the cash if you wanted to be extra cautious.

I always look for the small independents or fast car specialists through auto trader no privates, rather than the larger dealers, Audi are always 2k more than the smaller dealers. Then visit and see if you like the dealer. If you don't like the people walk away. Found my last 2 cars like this and been really happy with them. My S3 was mint one look and bought it, sweet.

Also hold out for the spec you want, don't compromise, yours will come along. took 6 months lat time I looked.

I got mine through Autotrader although when looking I was constantly looking on eBay, Autotrader, Pistonheads and Gumtree. Now I just browse them daily looking at cars I definitely cannot afford...

You should be able to easily get a decent one for your budget, I had a 12K budget and managed to pick mine up for not much more than £10k with spec below and 55k on the clock. I was looking for about 6 months though.

Good to see the 2nd hand value of S3's holding up well. We need another economic downturn so I can upgrade again - S3 purchase in 2009 in the depths of recession is looking like a good move.

Although I hate dealers with a vengeance there is something about the comfort of buying through an approved Audi network - don't get me wrong its not the best but, I get worried about the hassle of dealing privately and the pitfalls.

Have you looked at local VW, SEAT and Skoda dealers to see if they have had one in on a part ex?

Mine sold on autotrader in just over a week FYI

Had it on PH, local forums and locals car sites. Majority of enquiries were from autotrader, one from PH from a guy looking advice on mods and randomly a guy commenting on my instagram account about my car lol

I just bought my baby last week :) Its totally immaculate, not a scratch on her and the wheels are totally immaculate too... there were a couple of nik's in the wheels but he said he would make sure they were perfect when i picked her up!
Shes done 32k miles on a 2007 plate in silver!

sat nav

full black dimpled leather

Looks good, not a fan of orange but each to their own! The low milage ones always hold the value well and always will, theres a few pre facelifts on ebay at the moment for around £11k but with like 100k miles on!
