Bi turbo whistle

Guys, i have a friend in the car yesterday who asked me what the whistling sound is under acceleration.
I hadn't noticed it before but do now.

Does anyone else with a bi turbo have a whistling noise whilst accelerating?

its not very loud and im hoping it is just normal turbo spool noise or air intake.

I’ve got a distinctive dual whistle under load not loud but there.
If you take the air box off you’ll see not only the filter element but what looks like loft insulation, that is what I’ve removed as it would be there to keep induction noise down, you may find it’s already been removed on yours.

Same here - I only notice it when the windows are down.

Noticed my car only seems to do it when I let off the accelerator!
Maybe this is boost release?
Or boost leak

I think it’s the turbos spooling down, when they’re at max rate you cant hear them only when they slow, that’s my theory anyway

The Loft insulation is like a fleece covering that stops leaves and large debris from getting stuck in the filter . Doesn't block the filter.

Mine whistles when accelerating sometimes, I've always assumed it was the turbo doing it's thing.
