Black death ???? Injector issue

Hi guys new too this ..ive recently bought a audi a6 avant 3lquattro v6 .
Suspected manifold gasket leak which turned out too be the injector seal ..pulled injector out and renewed seal and copper washer along with cleaning injector and bore.put back together and now running like an old tractor ..lumpy on tickover.no acceleration & smoking like mad..pulled injector back out and oil on it ? Would it be ok too try a slightly bigger seal? Along with having the injector tested ..but of a coincidence having took the injector out and now its worse.injector was carboned up like mad which I'm thinking was causing the seal now I've cleaned a normal seal is not sealing the bore ..IF this makes sense ..please help guys
 
Depends where the oils coming through, top or bottom?

Larger seal may prove where its coming from tbh, if oil stops entering then the issue was top side.

Hi NHN thanks for the response..I'm certain its coming from the top as the new seal doesn't look that good of a fit..was just hoping that a rubber that tad oversized will seal it and stop the cross contamination and poor lumpy engine
 
Did you use genuine copper washer or generic? They are sided so can only be fitted the correct way around otherwise they wont seal.

Hi mo-s3 yes apparently then used the genuine seal and copper washer which like you said does go a certain way...wether or not they out it the right way is a different matter lol..its been inspected by a vw/audi specialist Monday morning so will keep you posted .just hoping it's something that simple rather than having to have the bore re-seated etc ..thanks again jack
