After a bit of a spirited drive I noticed smoke coming from under the bonnet the breather pipe had came out from the tip put back together all tightened up few days later smoke comes from different breather pipe all tightened up now it keeps popping the oil dipstick up . I'm leaning towards there being a blockage somewhere but all the pipes on the breather have been replaced a few months ago.
It like it keeps finding a weak spot to escape and always seems to be after a hard drive
Any ideas

Is the standard PCV valve in there? I would remove it and check its still moving / delete it

The dip stick blowing up means theres high crankcase pressure - not good

Yeah standard valve although it's less than a year old. Yeah I had a feeling it was not good don't know if it's releated but also it over revs on gear change quite bad now when in high revs

That's been replaced and it still did it just now it's got worse

From what I've been reading it also can be a vac leak on pcv system so was thinking a blockage of some sort might be effecting it

High crankcase pressure means the gases have got nowhere to go. Is your hockeypuck blocked?

You other than blocked pipes hockey puck and the non return valve in the pipe work is there anything else I need to check?

No it an original one at 1stpipes were popping off and once they were all tighten its the dipstick keeps popping up its like it keeps finding the weakest point and is worse when there more oil in it

lots of blowby from something... so pcv valve allowing boost to blow in, or a lot of crankcase pressure from ring blowby....

does it do it if you remove hockey puk out of inlet pipe to free vent to test.
next test would be for me blank off top of pcv valve so it cant see boost..

Il will try removing hockey puck and drive it like that for a day and see if it still does it.
I'm thinking its got 152,000 on the clock n it's probably just going to blow up soon ha

Well I never got round to removing the hockey puck and after a 10 min motorway trip pulls up at tesco smoke coming out of bonnet, it wasn't like that when I set off

So have now by passed the hockey puck

I know don't really want to jet wash it I case it get in to the electrics so it going to take a few rags

Ok so whilst the hockey puck was off I can blow thru either end and the air will come out the other side so it's not that blocked I also checked the one way valve that's under the inlet manifold that seems to work ok aswel

So after a short drive to work it's happened again. Think this might be beyond my capability will have to look at getting it in a garage I think

Cars booked in for a compression test next week but on way home from work I stayed at low revs and the dipstick stayed down took it round the block n gave it some and its popped up foes that make it easier to pinpoint?

I be tried 4 vag specialist and no one will do a leak down test and one said the compression test won't help me find my problem

Compression test would tell you if your getting blow by past the piston rings and pressurising your crankcase

Have you tried awesome gti in irlam

Cheers I forgot about them it's booked in with awesome for next Friday

Fitted new dipstick and it not happened since hopefully it was just that but will still be getting it tested next Friday

the dipstick in my engine has was rattling around loose for months and no oil ever leaked from it let alone sprayed over the entire engine bay - you will just make something else leak if this is a tight fit - the dipstick was a free pressure release.

you are supposed to have a negative pressure to stop the sump gaskets etc leaking by allowing the turbo intake to gently suck the gas through the puck back into the turbo - something is blowing into the sump or rocker and pressurising the system. perhaps the puck is blocked or the inside of the tip is blocked.

Pucks not blocked neither is the one way valve in the pipe work all been checked . All I can do is wait till
Next Friday

Is the turbo drawing in air through the tip connector to the puck?

thinking about this, if you had a really free flowing air filter would the turbo ever get any air from via the puck?

It's a badger5 tip with Honda S2000 air filter been fitted this way for around 8 months never been a problem till 2 week ago. I see what your saying tho. But if the filter was allowing enough air thru that it wasn't pulling thru the puck surely more people would be having this problem as a lot of people have the s2000 filter and the twin cone one witch is even more free flowing
