Boot lid cant fully open, only 1/2 - 3/4. Any advice how to default settings?

Hi guys,

i have b8 avant, 2008, and i have a automatic boot lid opening system. Few days ago, one "clever" guy pressed my boot lid button several times quickly and from this time my boot lid is opening only to half position, maybe 3/4 i am pretty sure its not mechanical failure, it has to be something with software. Is there any way how to restore my trunk to open again fully ? doesnt matter if i press key button, or pull the button inside car, always same. Closing is not problem, when i press button it close normaly.
I think there should be some trick with button to hold it for several seconds or something via key ?

push tailgate to desired opening. press the button on tailgate for at least 4 seconds or until the indicators flash. Id hold on to the tailgate whilst you press the button in

Press finger very firmly into eye of person who messed with it. Hold for at least 4 seconds.
